Foodie! Dare you to try this bowl of noodles worth 7.8M dollars?

It's coming, it's coming!

China's No. 1 black-tech robot noodle making baseRobots now dare to grab "bowls"!

A noodle shop with super fantastic technology feel, where you can have interactive experience and dineCome and cross over to the future intelligent era.

01 Background

As early as 3 years ago, Allove planned to combine the concepts of "fresh noodle cooking" and "robot cluster" and employ new ideas, new technologies and new models to create China's first "unmanned" smart noodle shop that integrates kitchen with Internet technology.  The smart unmanned dining experience they conceived starts from the customer entering the restaurant-as the customer is seated, he accesses the ordering interface by scanning the QR code, place the order by himself. After that, the cooking and delivery of dishes are all accomplished by robots.  Noodles are available in optional specifications, cold dishes are fixed, tea and coffee are hot drinks, and if you feel like cold drinks, just opt to beverages. Two mobile food trolleys are responsible for the distribution of food and beverages. And how can the most critical noodle cooking process be completed through standard operations by automated equipment? While at the same time give off the temperature of technology?

02 Pain points

  1. Dough making robot
  2. Dough packaging robot
  3. Dough storage and retrieval robot
  4. Fresh noodle cooking robot
  5. Bowl disinfection and distribution robot
  6. Bone soup and sauce adding robot
  7. Vegetables and toppings distribution robot
  8. Bone and toppings cooking robot

For the stage of noodle production, storage and cooking, the client designed a set of mechanisms to complete a series of actions smoothly. In the second half - the feeding and distribution stage, however, the customer observed what are picked and placed are cooked ingredients, plus detailed requirements for food presentation, so the mechanism could not perform the tasks in a "simple and rough" manner.  They need to be performed by flexible equipment, so the customer turn to collaborative robots.

03 Solution

Lightweight, attractive appearance, and compact size are features that make such type of robots be selected. ELITE's collaborative robot EC66 (6kg) weighs only 17.5kg and can be installed on a desktop with a very small footprint. In addition, each joint of the 6-joint collaborative robot allows ±360° rotation, boasting flexible motions and no dead points. Therefore, it can complete the topping of fresh boiled noodles with more supple and dexterous motions, adding the "soul" to the bowl of machine-cooked noodles.

"Programming for collaborative robots is easier than we thought. ELITE's robots support drag-and-drop demonstration, demonstrator and PC interactive programming, which was an unexpected discovery during our integration process. Now that the engineering work of programming and debugging is made easier, we were more motivated to use the equipment frequently, thus inspiring more imagination." Said the customer. At present, one robot can handle 2 different toppings. Next, the customer plans to use 2 robots to manage 8 toppings to further expand the "menu" of the noodle shop and raise work efficiency.

This bowl of noodles, warms your heart and stomach!Wait! There is also a robotic arm that makes pour-over coffee!

Here, take a cup of pour-over coffee. It just made the coffee for you, no doubt.

It would take a cup, put a capsule into the coffee machine, and take the coffee liquid, all in one go!  No manual operations are needed through the whole set of procedures. So simple and convenient.

You don't have to wait long before a cup of hot coffee is completed~ How about the taste? Just two words: "fragrant! Full-bodied!" In the future, robots will have bright prospects!
